Stock market investment

What does stock market investment entail?

Direct stock investing basically means buying shares in a company, or companies, which are sold on the stock market.  When you buy shares you become a joint-owner of the company along with the other shareholders.  Money is made from dividends or by buying and selling shares – ideally buying at low value and selling high.

It sounds exciting doesn’t it?  Checking the Financial Times to see how your shares are performing.  However, it is very unlikely you will be able to beat the professionals at this game.  In reality, understanding which investments to buy and which to sell at any given point is a highly skilled full-time job.  A trusted independent financial adviser or Investment Specialist can help you decide if direct stock market investment is a sensible approach.

Is stock market investment risky?

Well, we’ve said it before, in order to achieve the higher returns, a higher degree of risk to your capital than a bank account is required.  However, this should only be done as part of a financial plan from a specialist financial planner.  Our unique Advanced Adaptive Absolute (AAA) Investment System ensures that the proactive investment management system is applied to your money to maximise returns and control risk. That includes any stock market trading that may be included in your investment portfolio.

Remember, stock market investing – Equities (or Shares), is only one Asset Class for you and your Investment Specialist to choose from.  A more widely diversified portfolio to include assets like gold, oil or commercial property is usually more sensible.

What do I need to move forward?
