Financial analysis

What is done before we can produce a financial analysis of your current financial situation?

As part of our Clear Future Program for our millionaire clients, we would already have spent time to define your goals and record all the up to date information on your current financial situation in your personal financial summary. This document also contains some assumptions such as the expected rate of inflation and rate of growth on savings and investments which have to be agreed with you before we proceed to the analysis stage.

How is the actual financial analysis done?

We enter all the relevant information and some agreed into a financial planning software program which is designed specifically for financial planners to produce the following:

  • projections of the growth of your savings and investments
  • a hypothetical cash flow and its effect on your net worth throughout life
  • projections of your potential income in retirement
  • your cash flow if either of you died or became incapable of working
  • education funding needs

Like any of these programs the information produced depends entirely on the assumptions used and the correct financial data entered.  Once the report is produced I go over it with a fine tooth comb to produce the financial analysis and establish the areas that I believe you need to take action on, and make a note of my initial recommendations.

What happens after the initial financial analysis is produced?

We then meet again and use the reports produced as figures for discussion and recommendations for your initial financial plan.

After these discussions the data entry and assumptions may be adjusted if you believe they are incorrect and a final analysis produced. This final report and analysis is used to help generate your final financial plan.
