Why do I need to review and maintain my plan?

Simply put your circumstances change and the economic conditions that are projected in your plan change – for example the rate of inflation. This means that taking time out of your busy schedule to review and possibly tweak some of your action points is essential to meet your personal goals and objectives.

What’s actually involved in this review process?

Once your financial plan is finalised we would probably have implemented some or all of the recommendations in your plan. We would then have met to agree the next stages and decide if you wish to progress onto to paying a regular monthly fee to become a “Clear Future” client.

If so for all our millionaire asset group clients the following would then take place:

  • We agree a date to hold your review meeting
  • We confirm the meeting with you around 30 days in advance
  • We update the details we hold in your personal financial summary and send you the updated document for checking
  • You update details of your current objectives, cash accounts, income, expenditure and other assets and return the document to us
  • We go through the document and analyse your current situation and prepare our recommendations
  • We hold a 2-4 hour meeting to discuss your updated objectives, current plan and our recommendations
  • We agree any alterations to your plan and update it
  • We agree a separate meeting to deal with any new actions to implement your plan if required
  • We agree the next review meeting date

Why is this financial review done on a fee basis when many independent financial advisers provide a similar service free of charge?

This all goes back to the benefits of fee based financial planning over financial advice. As your financial planners we are under no pressure to sell you potentially unsuitable products in order to pay for our time and expertise. As you have already paid the fee for the service you know you can expect genuine unbiased advice.

What happens if I want to hold a separate meeting outside of my financial review?

We would discuss the reasons for this at no cost to you over the phone. Usually most immediate issues can be resolved this way thus saving you time. However if we agree a separate meeting needs to be held to discuss some complicated points we reserve the right to charge for the time.
