Financial plan process

What is the process involved in implementing my financial plan?

This is classed as financial advice and there are various stages to this process:

  1. You pay the a fixed pre agreed fee for the work
  2. We research the market and advise you best how to proceed
  3. We advise you on any financial products that may be required
  4. We hep you complete all the relevant paperwork
  5. We manage the process of bringing the first stage of your financial plan to completion and ensure the agreed plans are put in place
  6. We keep you fully updated and informed through the process

Stage 1 – paying a fixed pre -agreed fee

We will have given you a written quote for the cost of implementing your recommendations in your financial report. This fee is payable before we commence work implementing the plan.

Stage 2 – research the market

As an independent financial adviser I will religiously research the whole market to ensure any financial products are the most suitable for you. As you will have already paid a fee, any commission paid by a product provider will not sway my judgement. The commission will be waived if possible thus reducing your monthly premiums or increasing the investment value. If it is not possible to waive the commission, it will be refunded back to you. This is usually the case on our fee based mortgage advice.

Stage 3 – advising you on financial products

I will meet with you to explain any financial products that I am recommending. All features, benefits, risks and costs will be fully explained to your satisfaction. We will write to you with a full explanation as to why we have recommended those particular financial products.

Stage 4 – completing the paperwork for you

Yes it’s a bit of a pain but is has to be done. We will try and make it as painless as possible for you by pre completing any application forms with information we already hold

Stage 5 – bringing your plans to completion

We have spent a lot of time and money ensuring our administration systems are second to none. We have built and regularly update our own in house back office system as we could not find anything to do the job properly on the open market. Basically every thing is done as a series of computer generated checklists with built in help screens and records of who did the work to ensure nothing is missed. Ok mistakes can be made by anyone – but we pride ourselves on only making a mistake once. If a mistake is made the checklists are immediately altered so it never happens again.

Stage 6 – keeping you fully updated

We will keep you fully up to date by phone or email – we even inform you when nothing is happening.

What happens after my initial plans have been implemented?

We meet with you again to establish where we are now and answer any final questions. We then move to the review and maintain stage of your financial plan and make any adjustment required.
